Privacy
Your notes, kept warm.
What MiniBrain keeps, why, and how you stay in charge.
Who I am
MiniBrain is made by Ugo Di Sabatino, who is responsible for the data described here.
What data
- Your account: your email address.
- Your notes: their text, folders, titles, tags and the links between them.
- Your AI key: stored in your Mac's Keychain, on your Mac.
Why
- To sync your notes across your devices.
- To file your notes and answer your questions, through the AI provider you chose. That's the only use.
- To keep the app working and up to date.
Where
- Your notes and account live in a private space tied to your account, hosted in Zurich, Switzerland.
- To be filed or found, your notes go through the provider you chose: Anthropic or OpenAI. Their own terms apply.
- Your AI key stays in your Mac's Keychain.
- Sign-in codes are sent by email through Resend, which only sees your email address.
How long
As long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all your data yourself, anytime, from the app.
Your rights
- Access, correct or delete your data.
- Take your notes with you: export them as Markdown from the app.
- Delete your account and all your data from the app, anytime.
- File a complaint with your data protection authority.
Not a safe for now. Keep important passwords, bank details and very private stuff out of MiniBrain.
